Dell plans for new SmartPhone
Dell has shown intentions of launching its own range of smart phones and the talks summarize to the fact that the phone may run on Google’s Android or Windows Mobile software.
According to sources, the prototypes may include a touch-screen based model and a slide-out keyboard model. Now looking at the market scenario that already seems to be overcrowded with tech giants like Apple and Samsung, things would look bleak for Dell if it concentrated much on the QWERTY model. Touch-screen in really the fashion now.
Earlier reports suggest that Dell was actually looking for an mp3 player rollout, but then somebody at the apex suggested that since the market is lost out to the touch-screen carrying smartphones, lets put in some money and move on to make one, even though they are taking a big enough financial risk at this time of sub-prime crisis.
Whats more? Well, as far as one can make out, Dell will really have to embed all the great features present in the other pioneer phones if it has to elbow its way into its market, some of them may be the wi-fi and 3G stuff that give the iPhone an edge over the others.
